Finding their place in both the scenes of contemporary art and that of emerging cinema, the films that compose the program of the ‘Séances Phantom’ challenge the vocabulary and displace the frontiers of documentary cinema. The recurring program—at the MK2 Beaubourg Cinema in Paris, the Espace Khiasma and cinemas and intermediary venues in the region—offers the occasion to give a visibility, beyond that afforded by festivals and biennials, to these new writings that situate voice at the heart of a cinema of the collective unconscious. Each projection is followed by an exchange with the filmmakers, moderated by Olivier Marboeuf.
